Nike is an American company that manufactures equipment, clothing, footwear, accessories, and more. Phil Knight, is a billionaire who is a co-founder and chairman of Nike inc. He and his son own about 97% of Nike. Nike was founded january 25, 1964, Eugine, OR. Nike was first called Blue Ribbon sports when it was first founded. 8 years later, Nike signed its first endorsement with the romanian tennis player, ILie Nastase. 6 years later, Nike completed the IPO with a price of 18c per share. Skipping a few decades, Nike opens their first store in Portland Oregon. Over the years, Nike has targeted popular and rising athletes. Some include, tiger woods, Lebron James, Micheal Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Derek Jeter and more

Nike's revenues are heavily dependent upon footwear more than any other business line. In 2020, Nikes Footwear came in with a whopping 66% compared to the 31% Apparel which is the next best business line. Their footwear is the face of Nike with the impressive and exotic looks that they offer. Many teens and kids across the world buy their shoes for their cool and new looks. Nike even offers adults and seniors a variety of shoes that they can use as well. One thing Nike is also known for is their price and affordability. They offer shoes from the prices of $20 to a few thousand.
